We have been working with the same supplier for our Scotch Beef for many years, as the quality and the taste of the meat from their farm is far superior to anything else we have found from other sources.
They supply us with meat produced from an Angus Limousin cross that produces a tender cut of meat that our customers appreciate. Scotch beef is considered some of the best in the world and the Angus Limousin beef ranks among the best in Scotland. It is abundantly marbled in appearance which makes it more tender. All beef is hung on the bone for a minimum of 21 days producing exceptional tasty tender beef.
MACDUFF BEEF
We now supply beef from MACDUFF Beef, who source their top quality beef from a small selection of trusted farms in the Scottish Lowlands and Borders. Their beef is tender and succulent and Andrew Duff calls MACDUFF beef “The Rolls Royce of Scottish Beef.”
MACDUFF only send us beef that has been grass fed, supplemented with root crops and grass silage. Depending on the time of year and availability, you will find that we will be providing beef from a range of top-quality breeds like Charolais, Limousin, Aberdeen Angus Cross and Belted Galloway’s.
The Belted Galloway pictured here are well regarded for producing top quality beef with a notable texture and flavour, owing to the fact that they are slow to mature.
