Rotisserie Hire

Hire our fantastic rotisserie if you want to entertain family and friends for a large lunch, dinner or party. Unlike a BBQ, our rotisserie can be used all year round in your garden or on a patio – although if it rains you might like to put it under a canopy or garden umbrella.

Until the late 19th century, roasting by dry heat in an oven was called baking. Roasting originally meant turning meat or a bird on a spit in front of a fire. You can see how this was done in the kitchens at Hampton Court, just over the bridge from our shop in East Molesey, it is one of the oldest forms of cooking known.

Cooking meat in a rotisserie has several benefits. The meat is cooked evenly as it rotates, fat in the meat drips over the surface as the rotisserie spins and this self basting keeps the meat tender and moist, whilst adding a crispiness to the outside of the roast that looks and tastes sensational.

For the health conscious it's ideal as much of the excess fat simply drips away. You can also cook chickens or ducks with or without a marinade.

When cooking pork or beef you can pour 1-inch of water into an aluminium foil drip tray in the bottom of the rotisserie directly underneath where the roast will be turning. The pan will catch the drippings from the meat and the steam from the water will further baste the meat as it cooks.

We will supply you with cooking instructions and timings when you place your order.

Please note, we are unable to deliver the rotisserie to your home, you will need to arrange your own transport. It should fit comfortably into the back of an estate car, people carrier or similar sized vehicle.

48-hour hire rate is £50 Expect to pay about £45 each for a prepared loin on pork. You can fit three loins on the rotisserie and this should be sufficient to feed 40-people.

A recent customer wrote to us after their hog roast party, "We had a magnificent hog roast party…people came back for thirds and even fourths! The pork cooked beautifully. P. H. - East Molesey
